She’s here! Safaree announced Monday that his wife Erica Mena gave birth to their baby girl!
The baby announcement featured a pic of their newborn holding Safaree’s finger. You can see the pic below:
His caption said: “These pass 24 hrs have been an adventure to say the least! I’m a part of the #girldad club now. Perfection is here.”
The hashtag Safaree used was a nod to the “Girl dad” movement inspired by a Kobe Bryant story told by ESPN reporter Elle Duncan that celebrated him being a father to daughters.
Safaree and Erica Mena expressed their excitement for their bun in the oven when they shared a video revealing Erica’s pregnancy back in October of 2019.
The couple confirmed toVH1that they were expecting a bundle of joy. For a while, their followers had been keeping a close eye on them as they suspected that they had a little bun in the oven.
In the video, while rubbing Ericas tummy, Safaree says, I didnt know I was capable of doing this, but Im excited. He continued, Im excited, Im nervous, Im in shock, Im in disbelief. Its like very surreal to me, so its like, woah I dont know what the hell to do, but Im gonna be great at what I do because Im great at everything.
The couple gotengagedin 2018, on Christmas Eve and tied the knot in October 2019.
We knew the baby was coming soon as the couple held a Met Gala-themed baby shower back in late November.
This is Ericas second child and Safarees first child.
