ESPN Parts Ways With Paul Pierce Following His Instagram Live Video With Dancers

Whew! It looks like Paul Pierce is out of a job after having some fun over the weekend, Roomies.

According to the New York Post, ESPN fired Pierce after four years with the network following an Instagram live video he posted on Friday. In the video, Paul Pierce can be seen in a room with half-dressed dancers, and smoking what appeared to be marijuana.

Pierce took to Twitter with a video of himself laughing following the news captioned, “Big things coming soon stay tuned make sure u smile #Truthshallsetufree.”

Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports described the video in more detail saying, “Pierce went live on Instagram on Friday night in a room full of dancers while smoking, drinking and apparently playing poker with his friends–all while clearly ignoring basic COVID-19 safety protocols–in a string of videos that made waves on social media.

Fans who were tuned into the live also made comments regarding Pierce’s inappropriate behavior, especially considering that his wife was not present.

Paul Pierce is a former player for the Boston Celtics and was offered a full-time role at ESPN in 2017. He played for the Celtics for 15 seasons and spent his last four seasons in the NBA on the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Clippers.

We aren’t too sure what Paul’s next move will be, but based on the response he tweeted, it seems like he has something cooking up already!

Do y’all think he deserved to be terminated, Roomies? Let us know in the comments!
