It seems that Evelyn Lozada’s beef with her “Basketball Wives” co-star OG has elevated to a legal level.
Evelyn might not have responded to a lot of the things OG called her out on, but she’s apparently not letting OG play with her money.
Evelyn is suing OG for defamation for calling her a “racist bigot” on Instagram, claiming she lost out on several endorsement deals because of it, TMZ reports. Evelyn claims OG made the post after Evelyn wrote “Nobody watches you harder than the people that can’t stand you” on her IG story along with a gif of a laughing orangutan.
OG took that as a shot to her and fired back with a repost of Evelyn’s story along with the following message, “Wow so now black women are monkeys. Everyone boycott this trash box you are disgusting.”
OG also aired Evelyn out on Twitter alleging the following: “And there it is..show your true colors you racist bigot. You called Cece ‘Ling Ling’ Jackie a ‘cockroach’ & now me a ‘monkey.'”
It’s clear Evelyn is not playing with those kind of accusations. In the docs, she says she’s of Hispanic descent and that “her 2 children are African and Hispanic descent.”
Evelyn also says that she’s the chairperson of her foundation which raises money for abused women. She says the foundation has raised thousands of dollars for the Suati Yeti Center for African Women, noting that “these are actions of a person that is not racist.”
With OG calling her racist on social media, Evelyn claims she has lost several brand deal endorsements as a result.
She is suing OG for defamation and infliction of emotional distress. She reportedly did not list an amount but she apparently wants OG to pay up.
A rep for OG says she has no comment at this time.
