Fetty Wap has been through the wringer lately, with receipts outlegal drama, beef, the whole nine. Now, the New Jersey rapper is back, and hes reminding everyone why hes still a fan favorite. After being away for a minute, Fetty hit the stage again, and you already know the crowd screaming like it was 2015 all over again.
The rapper recently stepped back on stage for the first time since being released from prison, performing his hits ‘Trap Queen’ and ‘My Way’ at a club. Clips circling on the web show Fetty fully immersed in the performance, with fans belting out every chorus and feeding off his energy. For someone whos been away from the stage for a while, his vocals sounded surprisingly tight, and the excitement in the room made it a moment that seemingly felt surrealfor both him and his supporters.
Fans immediately flooded TSRs Instagram comments, saying a Fetty Wap summer is exactly what we need right now. Others couldnt help but gush about how he came out of prison looking foineee and ready to shine. Plenty of people were also hyped about his comeback season, noting that even after some time away, his vocals are still on point and giving major energy.

In a recent interview with ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Fetty made it clear that hes not planning to rap about his time behind bars.
Honestly, I dont feel like thats important, he explained. “I did my time. It’s a lot of rappers that went to jail I mean, I hate to say it like that that came home. If they chose to talk about their jail s**t, that’s them…”
Fetty said the guys in prison were always pushing him to stay productive and inspired: “In 20 days, I want to hear something new on the computer,” he continued. “That’s the type of motivation I was having.” He also shared that his creative process has evolved. [My writing] will change, I guess. Its always going to change, especially when youre trying to be creative. I just feel like I appreciate music more, he said. Fans can likely expect his future projects to reflect this new mindsetstill unmistakably Fetty, but with a focus on growth and artistry rather than past struggles.
