Flo Rida’s 6-Year-Old Son Severely Injured, In ICU After Five-Story Fall From Apartment Window

Flo Rida‘s son, Zohar Dillard, is seriously injured after falling five stories from a building three weeks ago in Jersey City. According to a report from News 12 New Jersey, the six-year-old is currently hospitalized in the ICU. Flo Rida has not yet reacted to the reports, but the child’s mother, Alexis Adams, has reportedly filed a lawsuit.

Zohar’s injuries included multiple pelvis fractures, left metatarsal fractures, grade three liver laceration, internal bleeding, and collapsed lungs. Zohar reportedly fell at least 50 feet through a window of his apartment building. It’s unclear if the child was alone at the time of the incident.

Adams filed a lawsuit–citing negligence–against several entities, including the property owners, a construction company, and a window installation company. Flo Rida is not listed as a plaintiff. At this time, not much is known about Flo Rida’s relationship with the child.

In the filing, Adams claims the building has “windows that posed a hazardous condition,” which allowed her son to fall out onto the concrete. One condition listed is the alleged “incorrect-sized guards” on the windows.

“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry, and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to willful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures,” Adams reportedly wrote in a statement.

Adams’ lawyer, Steven Haddad, toldTMZon Thursday (March 30) that Alexis has been by her son’s side every day since the accident. Additionally, he revealed that doctors deemed Zohar’s survival a miracle–given the 50-foot drop. However, the child will have to re-learn how to walk. For now, Zohar is reportedly in a full-body cast with minimal motion.

Haddad also said there’s no update on when Zohar will be released from the hospital.

This is a developing story.
