Back in November, two gunmen opened fire at a mansion in Beverly Hills where Tekashi 6ix9ine and Kanye West were set to film their music video. Now footage from the shooting reveals that the rapper didn’t want police to know he was there due to legal reasons.
In the audio obtained by TMZ, 6ix9ine can be heard wanting to desperately leave the location following the shooting. At the beginning of the clip, police explain the rifle rounds that were found at the scene. They also explained how the house where the video was taking place was intentionally targeted and they would need to ID everyone.
The clip then cuts to Tekashi saying, “ID me? I can’t … I’m on probation … tell [the cops] I’m not here,” as he sat in the back on an SUV. Tekashi’s handler let him know that police already knew he was at the scene.
The shooting took place two weeks after Tekashi received four years probation in his child sex case, where he was ordered by the judge to stay out of trouble.
Fast-forward, the rapper is now sitting behind bars on racketeering charges.
