Former “Bachelorette“ star Rachel Lindsay is not having it when it comes to fellow “Bachelorette” star Hannah Brown using the n-word. Most importantly, she wasnt feeling Hannahs apology and she called her out for not keeping the same energy she had in the now-viral video when it came to her issuing an apology.
Over the weekend, Hannah was on Instagram Live rapping Da Babys latest hit single Rockstar, and while reciting the lyrics, the n-word slipped out. Many people called her out for using the word, and Hannah quickly said sorry, and then provided a written apology via her Instagram story.
Rachel Lindsey then called Hannah out for her lackluster apology. Rachel revealed that she gave Hannah the opportunity to place herself on camera to issue a proper apology. However, the apology on camera never came and Rachel was not here for it.
Rachel said, When youre bold enough to say the word n*gga on your platform. Then you need to be bold enough to use your face on camera and apologize the same way you said the word. Im not discrediting the apology; Im just saying you cant give people a pass for this. We have to hold people accountable for what theyre doing.
On Sunday, Hannah posted an apology and said, “I owe you all a major apology. There is no excuse and I will not justify what I said. I have read your messages and seen the hurt I have caused. I own it all. I am terribly sorry and know that whether in public or private, this language is unacceptable. I promise to do better.”
