As many expected, Trump has been acquitted on all impeachment charges brought against him and will continue to remain in office. He received enough senate votes of not guilty to keep him in the White House until the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
Earlier today, the Senate voted to acquitDonald Trump on two articles of impeachment revolving around hisJuly 25th phone call with UkrainianPresident Volodymyr Zelensky. During the impeachment, Democrats pointed out a public transcript of the conversation, during which Trump encouraged Zelensky to announce an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

As predicted, Trump denied doing anything wrong, but the House Democrats still charged him with abuse of power as well as obstruction of Congress for refusing to comply with subpoenas.
