According to Billboard, Minaj scored her third number-one album on the Billboard 200 with the release of ‘Pink Friday 2.’ As The Shade Room previously reported, the long-awaited sequel to Minaj’s debut album, ‘Pink Friday,’ was released on December 8.

‘Pink Friday’ was Minaj’s first number-one album, released in 2011, followed by ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,’ released in 2012.

The outlet reports that ‘Pink Friday 2’ launched with “228,000 equivalent album units earned” or consumed in the U.S. in its first week. The accomplishment marks the “biggest” debut for an “R&B/hip-hop album by a woman this year.”
