New Details Reportedly Emerge Regarding G Herbo’s Recent Arrest For Unlawful Use Of A Weapon In Chicago

New details have been revealed regarding G Herbo’s recent arrest in Chicago. As The Shade Room previously reported, the rapper bonded out of jail after being detained last week. His detainment was allegedly due to his unlawful, public firearm use.

More Details Regarding G Herbo’s Recent Arrest In Chicago

According to TMZ, G Herbo’s recent gun possession arrest was reportedly prompted by a traffic infraction.” Chicago authorities informed the outlet that on July 9, the rapper was pulled over after his vehicle “failed to display a turn signal in traffic.”

During the traffic stop, authorities located a “Glock 33” in his vehicle.

Additionally, the outlet even obtained a photo of the rapper’s mugshot.

 

As The Shade Room previously reported, the rapper was arrested near East Ontario Street and North Wabash Ave. Additionally, he is reportedly expected to appear in court for the misdemeanor gun charge at an undisclosed date.

Furthermore, TMZ notes that neither G Herbo nor his team have publicly commented on his recent arrest.

The Rapper’s Additional Legal Troubles

As The Shade Room previously reported, G Herbo is also involved in an ongoing fraud case that reportedly began in 2020. In that case, the rapper and other defendants are accused of “using stolen credit cards and identifications” to fund a lavish lifestyle.

Additionally, G Herbo is accused of lying to federal agents about his relationship with an alleged co-conspirator and providing false statements to the Bureau of Investigation.

In 2021, the rapper reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, in June, HipHopDX reported that the rapper requested a meeting with federal agents to “discuss a potential plea deal” in the case.

In this case, the outlet reports that G Herbo has been charged with “one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.” And “two counts of aiding and abetting aggravated identity theft.”

An update has yet to be publicly shared regarding the current standing of the rapper’s case.

Before this, the rapper was arrested for simple battery in 2019 and reportedly possessing an illegal handgun in 2018.
