Glorilla is switching things up, and the streets are talking! The “Big Glo” herself announced on Wednesday that shes stepping out of her rap roots and into the world of R&B, teasing fans with news of a full album in the works. Roommates, we all wanna know can Glo really sang like that?
The Memphis rapper took to X to share the announcement, sharing, “& I will be doing a rnb album.” Though it sparked curiosity, she didnt dive into what inspired the move or what we can expect from this new sound. But ever since sharing, fans have been flooding the replies with a mix of hype and wonder, with many questioning whether Glos signature energy will translate into silky R&B vibes. Either way, anticipation is building as everyone waits to see how this new chapter will shape her artistry and whether shell dominate the charts in a whole new lane.
Social media immediately sprinted to The Shade Room Instagram comment section and let it all out. Some fans were kind, telling Glorilla to keep the R&B vibes coming. Meanwhile, others joked and played with her Memphis accent for laughs. Plus, plenty of supporters chimed in to say she can definitely hold a note, leaving the comment section buzzing with hype and curiosity.

Glorilla isnt the only one switching up the flow. Not too long ago, Megan Thee Stallion released a track, letting her hair sway as she twerked and rapped, My man, my man, my man, my baby, my baby! And, a true oldies fan knows that the song was built around Totals 1996 R&B hit ‘Kissin You.’ Not to mention, the track was made for her NBA bae Klay Thompson. However, despite how in love Meg sounds n the record, it hasnt exactly had fans gagged yet. Now, we’re all waiting to see if Glorilla will pull off her R&B project and hit the right notes to leaves fans shook in the best way.
