Gwinnett County, Georgia Police Officer Under Investigation After Reportedly Tasing A Woman For “Talking Too Loud” On Her Front Porch

Roommates, a police officer in Gwinnett County, Georgia is currently under investigation after a viral video clip has circulated on social media showing him tasing a woman (identified as Kyndesia Smith) on her front porch for allegedly “talking too loud.” According to reports, the Gwinnett County, Georgia officer Michael Oxford, responded to a call from a neighbor of a disturbance in the neighborhood and the situation quickly escalated.

A Gwinnett County, Georgia police officer is currently under investigation after he tased a woman on her own porch. The disturbing video went viral on social  media, showing officer Michael Oxford dragging Kyndesia Smith around on the front porch of her own home before tasing her. Smith, makes absolutely no threat of violence before she is incapacitated after being tased.

In the short clip, Oxford is seen arguing with a group of Black women, before telling Smith “you’re under arrest.” However, he never says what she is under arrest for and Oxford roughly grabs her and drags her out along the length of the porch.

The group plead with Oxford to calm down; instead he pulls out his taser and aims, yelling “Get on the f**king ground. Get on the ground right now. Taser. Taser.” Seconds after telling Smith she is under arrest, the officer fires, sending her falling into the bushes while her friends scream “Leave her alone! What are you doing? Call the police!”

Oxford then says, “Turn over, put your hands behind your back. I will tase you again. Taser deployed.” Right after, he handcuffs Smith. He then forces her arms behind her back to handcuff her.

According to the police report from Gwinnett County, Michael Oxford alleges he was dispatched after a neighbor accused one of the women on the porch of throwing a bottle at her car and threatening her.

As the clip began to make its rounds on social media, the Gwinnett County Police Department publicly stated that Oxford is officially under investigation due to the way in which he handled the situation.
