Here’s What Reportedly Happened Between Gypsy Rose & Her Hubby

Gypsy Rose made the separation announcement on Thursday, March 28, per PEOPLE. The outlet reportedly obtained a statement Rose allegedly shared to her private Facebook account.

“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find who I am,” she wrote in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

It’s unclear if Gypsy or Ryan plan to officially file for divorce.

The 32-year-old is only about three months out of prison. However, she’s been Ryan’s wife since 2022. The estranged pair tied the knot in a jailhouse ceremony with no guests during the summer.

As previously reported, officials released Gypsy Rose Blanchard from prison on December 27, 2023. She had served eight years at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri for her role in plotting the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Dee Dee, who suffered from Munchausen by proxy, had kept Gypsy Rose in a state of fake chronic illness by manipulating medicine and her daughter.

After her release from prison, Gypsy shared that she was excited about living “with a man” for the first time in her life. She told PEOPLE in a Dec. 2023 interview that they planned on having a “reception/redo wedding” with their family and friends. While the jailhouse wedding “meant something” to them, Rose said the party would be “for everybody else” and them.

Earlier this month, she shut down her public social media, calling it a “doorway to hell.” She credited her father for the recommendation.
