Hazel E Seemingly Compares Her 2018 Outfit To Kim Kardashian’s Balenciaga Caution Tape Look

Hazel E wants folks to focus their energy on supporting Black designers! But her call-to-action is receiving mixed reactions due to the inspiration behind it. On Sunday, Kim Kardashian pulled up to the Balenciaga Show at Paris Fashion Week wrapped in literal caution tape, except that the word “caution” was replaced by “Balenciaga.” After the look circulated, both Hazel and designer Odain Watson shared 2018 footage of a similar look Hazel wore.

First, Hazel shared a video of Kim walking through a venue wearing the caution tape look. With her repost, Hazel included the compliment, “she ate.”

Hours later, she shared a clip of her 2018 music video “What Are You Talkin Bout.” In the snippet, Hazel is seen wearing loose, long pants with caution tape designs wrapping the entire leg. She also wore a jacket with designs mirroring the pants. Shortly afterwards, a post from Odain’s clothing brand Odaingerous seemingly pointed out the similarities between both outfits.

“Mirror, Mirror on the wall. We did it first @hazele,” Odaingerous’ account posted to Instagram Story. “Congrats @Balenciaga on your new collection @KimKardashian.”

Hazel E not only reposted Odaingerous’ comment, but went on to post a clip to her Instagram profile of the video prep and shoot. This is when she seemingly took aim at Balenciaga’s designers and Kim’s fit.

“TB to 2018 when @odaingerous dripped me in the [caution tape emoticon] tape for the #WRUTB video shoot,” he said. “Support your Black designers their ideas can be high fashion brands inspiration.”

Meanwhile, Hazel’s husband Devon Waller was riding for his lady in her comment section. Underneath her post, he let her know she beat out Soulja Boy to the first of something.

“You was the first RAPPER TO DO IT BAE,” Devon wrote.

Roommates, do you spot the similarities in both looks?
