Here’s The Tea Behind Moneybagg Yo’s Malibu Valentine’s Day Set Up For Ari (Exclusive Details)

Valentine’s Day might be over, but the love is still being spread down our timelines. Red roses were in popular demand, and some of your faves showed up and showed out for the ladies in their lives. While many of the gestures were admirable, fans seemed amazed with the space Moneybagg Yo set up for his bae, Ari Fletcher. As we reported yesterday, Ari shared photos and videos of her day and said it felt euphoric.

We reached out to the event organizer, Najee Jalice of @reign48events, to find out how she set up the event with her team and how y’all can make sure your next Valentine’s Day is the best. Najee explained that the romantic Malibu getaway she set up came together in 12 hours! Whew, talk about working under pressure.

“I got a call from Bagg’s assistant, Anjae, who I know from back home in Charlotte, NC. He told her he wanted to decorate the house for Ari and wanted to go all out. The only thing was they needed it done by 9 pm the following day,” explained Najee. She enlisted another Black female-owned balloon company, @by_rindear, private chef @allureappetit, and her florist to get the job done while she created the vision.

With the number of roses covering the room, y’all know we had to ask about the process. Najee advised, “We had to hand peel the flowers because my florists didn’t have enough petals in the shop that morning. It took five people from my team and roughly 3 hours to peel over 400 roses to make enough petals to fill the room.”

To add the finishing touches, Najee explained that by 6 pm, her team started staging the candles and installing the balloons. By 8:50 pm, she and her team did a final walk-through, adding last-minute additions and lit candles.

Now we know Moneybagg’s money is long. While Najee couldn’t confirm the amount he spent, she did say a bouquet of roses is about $50, and they used well over 1,000 roses throughout the house. Now, if you do the math, that’s about $50,000 alone on roses. In addition, Najee’s prices start for full-service production at $5,000 and are customized to fit the client’s needs.

Last but not least, we had to ask who cleaned up all the roses! Najee confirmed it wasn’t her team but said Moneybagg didn’t spend the time cleaning. “Bagg’s team hired a cleaning crew to come and handle that.” Roomies, do you think you would hire a company like this next year for your Valentine’s Day experience?
