H&M Launches Initiative Offering Free Suit Rentals To Males For 24 Hours

Roommates, when it comes to landing your dream job, you know a couple of steps you need to take while getting ready for the interview. You have to prepare yourself by knowing the company’s information, have your questions ready to go, and look the part! Appearance is one of the most important parts, but sometimes it can be hard to find appropriate, affordable clothing. However, retailer H&M is rolling out a new way to help make a powerful first impression.

H&M aims to alleviate the financial strain for males who need to dress the part to help land employment with their “ONE/SECOND/SUIT” initiative. We all know that suits can be expensive, but H&M is allowing men to rent a suit at no cost. That’s right free! According to reports from Business Insider, men can rent a navy-blue suit ranging from sizes XS to XXL for 24 hours. Some of the efforts of this program stem from their sustainability efforts. If you’re an avid shopper with the brand, you may be familiar that they launched a “conscious collection” back in 2012, where at least 50% of an item is made from sustainable materials.

An H&M representative confirmed that all customers would have to do is return the suit in a prepaid return bag. The company is partnering with a dry cleaning service so customers won’t have to worry about bringing the suit back cleaned. Also, customers wouldn’t be held responsible for minor damage such as stains or tears — but they would be responsible for paying the full retail price of the suit if there is any major damage, according to the representative.

The initiative has already launched in the UK and will make its way to the U.S by May 13th and available online.
