Houston Man Found Hanging Outside A Store In Shady Acres—Following Similar Deaths Across The Country

#Roommates, the disturbing trend of hanging deaths throughout the country has sadly continued—and this time it’s in Texas. According to reports, a Houston man was found hanging from a tree outside a store and authorities are claiming that his cause of death was an apparent suicide.

@HoustonChron reports, a Hispanic man was found dead earlier today after his body was discovered hanging from a tree outside a store in the Shady Acres neighborhood,  according to initial reports from the Houston police. The unidentified man’s body was found hanging outside the store at approximately 9:05AM in the 2500 block of Ella Boulevard, south of  Interstate 610 North, police said. In the highly disturbing video of the discovery, you can see the victim’s body hanging from the tree as police and emergency vehicles swarm the scene.

Initially, when the video quickly spread on social media, many were convinced that the man was black, however authorities said that the only physical determination they can make at this time is that he was a Hispanic man. The concern is because two recent hanging victims, Robert Fuller and Malcolm Harsch both from California, were black men.

Houston police  and homicide detectives are currently investigating the man’s death, but they do not suspect foul play. Additionally, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said that the man’s family members indicated he was suicidal.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine his identity and official cause of death.
