Hundreds Of People Left Without Clothing For Days After Egypt Air Lost Their Luggage On The Way To Ghana For The Year Of The Return

Roommates, Ghana is seeing the faces of many of our brothers and sister this holiday season, as 2019 has been deemed the year of return to the country. But while some are gathering in celebration, many are calling for justice against Egypt Airlines.

Hundreds of people flying Egypt Air have been left stranded for days, claiming the airline lost all of their luggage in Cairo, Egypt. Comments under photos on the airline Instagram page suggest folks have been left with no clothing, including underwear, for almost five days.

Passengers also allege the airline has yet to offer them any assistance in the matter, and have been ignoring all inquiries about the missing luggage. Some passengers can be heard on video begging and pleading with the man for their luggage.

One woman had her medication inside of her luggage, and the man seemed unfazed by her pleading.

“Egypt Air is telling us to wait seven days for our luggage,” one woman says. “I don’t even care about the bag, I need my medication.”

The man is on the phone, but it is unclear who he is calling or what business he is tending to, as he does not say any words to the angry passengers around him. As of now, Egypt Air has still not responded to any concerned passengers about the location of their luggage.

A few passengers have reached out to let us know they have received their bags. Hundreds of people, however, are still left without their clothing. Some folks are preparing to leave Ghana, and have still not received their bags or a response from the airline.

Egypt Airlines’ lost baggage policy states they they are not liable unless they are found at fault for the loss of the luggage. They haven’t claimed fault for the incident yet.

We’ll keep you all updated as the story develops, Roomies!
