Taylor Meyer, an Indiana man, has been charged after allegedly stabbing his wife about 40 times on Valentine’s Day.
According to wave3.com, Taylor told police he arranged a “Valentine’s Day celebration” for his wife, Deborah. Additionally, he noted having concerns about his wife being engaged in an affair with a co-worker, citing a person saved in her phone as “My Best Friend Emily.”
Despite these concerns, Taylor bought his wife a dress and dinner and had their three children draw pictures of the Eiffel Tower as decorations for his “Bringing Paris to You” Valentine’s Day-themed dinner. In addition, Taylor gave his wife a card with a handwritten note, and the pair even danced to their wedding song.
Despite these gestures, Taylor noted feeling as if his wife “did not care.” Additionally, he told police Deborah allegedly left their house afterward for 20 minutes, presumably to see her alleged boyfriend.
“It was the hardest Ive ever tried,” he reportedly told police, per the New York Post. “She just didnt give a s**t.”
When she returned, a fight ensued, and Taylor choked, wrestled, and sat on Deborah as he went through her phone. Furthermore, he allegedly called the presumed boyfriend, telling the man “it was his fault.” Ultimately, Taylor hit his wife multiple times with a wine bottle, then retrieved a “big ass kitchen knife” and stabbed her about 40 times.
Per the outlet, the couple’s children, all under the age of 5, were reportedly asleep amid the incident.
Per the outlet, Taylor Meyer’s alleged actions did not end there. He reportedly took a picture of his wife’s body and sent it to the alleged boyfriend with the words, “Your Fault.” He has reportedly been charged with murder. However, he’s reportedly pled not guilty.
Per wave3.com, Taylor Meyer is being held without bond, and his trial is scheduled for July 15.

Before Valentine’s Day, Latorray Collins’ boyfriend reportedly ended their relationship. On February 15, she reportedly tracked him down, spotted him in a car with another woman, and shot the female passenger.
