Ireland is recognizing a major “cultural shift” once the ‘National Drugs Strategy’ decides to allow citizen’s access to marijuana, heroin and cocaine.
You would think a major drug change like this would inhibit drug addicts into consuming more of what most may call “the feel good drug” but according to Complex, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin feels that people who conform to these substances may lower the chances of abusing them if they aren’t restricted from it.
“I am firmly of the view that there needs to be a cultural shift in how we regard substance misuse if we are to break this cycle and make a serious attempt to tackle drug and alcohol addiction, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin of NDS told Irish Times.
There will also be what they call “surprise injecting rooms” placed in Dublin then Cork, Galway and Limerick. These rooms will allow citizens of Ireland to have personal usage of heroine and cocaine. This is obviously not for the potheads. You can do that in the privacy of your own home!
Starting this week these changes will emerge in a radical way and may turn into such a “cultural shift” that government officials all over the world will affirm to this! Well, maybe in the United States since our government officials have already approved decriminalization laws in several states.
