On Thursday, February 6, Chris Gotti took to Instagram to share a reel that featured a photo of his brother with his birth date and passing. Furthermore, the graphic read, “IN LOVING MEMORY OF IRVING DOMINGO LORENZO… IRV GOTTI… HIP HOP LEGEND”
Additionally, Chris also included a lengthy caption with his video, paying tribute to his brother.
“With profound sorrow, I announce the passing of my beloved brother, Irv Gotti Lorenzo. His visionary talent not only transformed the music industry but also touched countless lives. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a cherished brother, father, and friend. His legacy will forever resonate in our hearts. Now I need you! MY BROTHERS KEEPER!!!! I LOVE YOU AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY BROTHERS KEEPER!!!! Rest in power, Irv. You will be deeply missed,” he wrote.
About an hour later, Chris returned to Instagram to share a clip with his followers. Furthermore, the video featured a news segment curated in memory of Irv.
In the caption of the video, Chris added a few more words about his brother.
“My brother Irv wasnt just a name in hip-hop He WAS hip-hop!!!! He built a legacy from nothing, changing the game and opening doors for artists who never had a voice. Murder Inc. wasnt just a label, it was a movement, and Irv was the mastermind behind it all. His vision, his hustle, and his passion made him one of the greatest to ever do it. The industry wouldnt be what it is without him. You paved the way, my brother, and your impact will live forever. Love you always!!!!” he wrote.
On Friday, February 7, Chris returned to the platform to share a final video of his brother.
“My brother Irv was larger than life. His energy was contagious, his passion unstoppable. He walked in any room and made his presence feltbecause thats who he was. A true king, a visionary, and my brother for life. Love you forever, Irv!!!” he wrote in part.
