Remember back in 2004, when Martha Stewart traded in her cooking apron for a prison jumpsuit after she was caught lying about her involvement in the insider trading world? Well, she’s using her 5 month stint as areason why she doesn’t watchNetflix’s hit series “Orange Is The New Black”.
According to People, the entrepreneur went on Chelsea Handlers new talk show, Chelsea to discuss her past experience behind bars and that when she spilt tea on why she wasn’t an OITNB fan. She says the show doesn’t depict the real thing,When you live through something like Orange Is the New Black, the real characters are better.”
Stewart complained mainly about how non-relaxing prison is (go figure), and how she had to get up early to watch shows of her own liking because BET was on throughout most of the day.
In prison, it was BET television at all times, said Stewart. I had to get up really early to watch the news, she recalled. “Theres only one TV available and you have to sit in hard chairs and look up like this [cranes her neck] at the TV. So if I wanted to watch the stock market and stuff like that, I had to get up really early and watch it by myself.
Stewart isnt interested in many popular TV shows. She goes on to tell Handler that, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad arent her favorite either. Shes more of a House of Cards kind girl!
