BREAKING: Jackson Mahomes Arrested, Charged With Aggravated Sexual Battery

Police arrested and charged Jackson Mahomes, 22, with aggravated sexual battery in connection to an incident with a Kansas restaurant owner. The 40-year-old, Aspen Vaughn, says the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes forcibly kissed her and shoved an employee.

Mahomes faces three counts of aggravated sexual battery and a fourth count of battery. Officials booked him into the Johnson County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond and he was released on Wednesday afternoon, according to KCTV 5.

Police confirmed the assault occurred at Aspens Restaurant and Bar Lounge, as previously reported by The Shade Room.

A viral video clip of the incident appears to show Jackson Mahomes forcibly kissing the owner on Feb. 25, 2023.

Mahomes’ Lawyer: “A Short Clip Of Any Video Does Not Provide Proper Context”

Mahomes’ lawyer provided KCTV5 with a statement back in March denying the claims against Jackson, claiming “a short clip of any video does not provide proper context.”

“We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson,” it read. “Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to a swift resolution of the matter.”

Jackson’s Arraignment Reportedly Set For May 5

Jackson’s arraignment hearing has been scheduled for Friday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m., the outlet reports.

Jackson is said to have shoved a 19-year-old male waiter several times before allegedly forcibly kissing Aspen Vaughn, who owns the Aspens Restaurant where the incident took place.

A 49-second clip of the alleged sexual assault has already garnered over 1.3 million views.

Owner Says She Did Not Welcome Jackson’s Advances

Vaughn has said she believes Jackson was intoxicated but adds she claims she warned Mahomes about his unwanted advances.

Hours before the alleged forced kisses, one of Vaughn’s wait staff alleges Jackson shoved him out of the private room where he and his entourage were dining in. The employee alleges it happened after smelling marijuana smoke.

Jackson reportedly is a regular at the establishment and even knows the owner’s step-daughter, according to Vaughn.
