Okay, Mr. Actor! New York Knicks Player Jalen Brunson To Make An Appearance On ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Roommates, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is beefing up his acting resume! Later this month, on Sept. 26, he’ll make his acting debut on the comedy sketch show, ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Then, several weeks later, he’ll be on our TV screens again! NBC recently revealed that Brunson will make a guest-starring appearance on ‘Law & Order: SVU’ this fall.

A Joke Progressed Into A REAL Role On ‘Law & Order: SVU’

NBC dropped the surprise announcement on Thursday (Sept. 17). An Instagram video shows Jalen walking down a hallway and telling the surrounding crowd, “Try to get on SVU.” The text on the clip itself reads “How It Started,” with an arrow pointing right. After swiping, the post shows a photo of Jalen Brunson surrounded by ‘Law & Order: SVU’ production team and others, including the show’s star for the last 27 years, Mariska Hargitay. Yes, THEE Olivia Benson!

“When the plans finally make it out of the group chat ŸŒ Jalen Brunson is officially headed to #SVU,” NBC’s caption said.

For those looking forward to Brunson’s SVU debut, he will appear in the season’s fifth episode. It is scheduled to air on Nov. 5. However, details on Brunson’s exact role weren’t revealed. In the photo NBC shared, he’s wearing a squad badge, which is often worn by actors playing police roles on the show.

Fans React To Jalen Brunson’s Upcoming Role

In NBC’s comment section, fans of the show and the game joked about two captains coming together. Others shared additional manifestations they have for the ‘Law & Order’ series.

“Two captains to get the job dun dun at SVU,” @cherryy.luvss said.

@mleitten commented, “Can we also manifest Stabler to come back please?? We cant just pretend he doesnt exist!”

Mariska Hargitay & Her Family Turned Heads At The Emmys

Mariska Hargitay is a Knicks fan who attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals. At the time, New York rallied from a 29-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 107-106. That victory sparked the franchise to its first title since 1973. Hargitay and Jalen Brunson hugged on the court after the game.

The friendlies, Brunson and Hargitay, also linked up earlier this week! He made an appearance Monday in the opening of the Emmy Awards telecast that was hosted by ‘Law & Order: SVU’ superstar. Mariska turned heads on the carpet, not only for her stunning red gown, but for her beautiful family, including her and her husband’s three children! Her daughter, Amaya, was wearing a similar gown to mama!
