Its official! Jay Cinco and Lala Baptiste are not only expecting their first they’re also engaged! The social media personality surprised Lala with a proposal during their baby shower, marking another milestone in their relationship.
Jay Cinco and Lala Baptiste took a major step forward in their relationship on Saturday, March 28, as they celebrated their upcoming arrival of their child with a baby shower attended by friends, family, and notable guests. The event, which aired on a livestream and drew appearances from comedian Benndadon, Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer, and reality star Scotty, as well as LiAngelo and Lonzo Ball, and Travis Hunter and his wife, Leanna Lenee.
But before the baby shower festivities began, Jay set the tone with a unique moment, a jersey retirement ceremony. Held in a basketball gym below the main event, the segment symbolized him leaving his past behind and stepping into a new chapter. Friends shared stories, jokes, and memories from his outside days, while a slideshow played showing his journey leading up to Lala.
Following the ceremony, guests returned upstairs for the main event. After socializing, Jay Cinco gathered the attendees for a toast alongside his girlfriend. During his speech, he thanked guests for celebrating the couples soon-to-arrive daughter and took a moment to honor Baptiste, praising her as a mother-to-be and expressing his love. Then came the moment no one saw coming. With the room watching, Jay got down on one knee and asked Lala to marry him. She appeared surprised and emotional before saying yes, as the crowd erupted in cheers. The two shared a hug and kiss as they sealed the moment. As for the ring a shiny pear-cut diamond.
