Now, it seems like she’ll be able to add actor to her resume. Jayda has reportedly landed an acting role in an upcoming film called ‘Bid for Love.’
‘Bid for Love’ is reportedly still in its filming stages. Therefore, not much has been released about it. However, IMDb updated their site recently with a summary of the plot we can expect to see in the movie. From the sound of it, interested viewers will experience a romantic drama featuring a woman caught in bad relationships learning to “bid” for herself.
The main character named Sasha finds love with another character named Malik, “after being injured and doing a bid in prison due to Memphis.” Memphis is Sasha’s former “drug trafficking boyfriend.” Although Sasha falls deeply in love with Malik, he seems to use “gifts and her past” to keep Sasha locked in.
“A love struck Sasha falls head over heels for Malik who slowly attempts to alienate her from her close ones and secretly plots against her,” IMDb. summarized. “Her therapist and unexpected new friends opens her eyes to her history of relationships and gives her advice on how to deal with them and getting her life back.”
Jayda will be playing the role of “Juvie,” according to the film’s official Instagram account. Reality television star and entrepreneur Tami Roman will also lend her acting chops to the film. She will be reportedly playing the role of “Dr. Simone.” The lead actress in the movie is listed as Dawn Halfkenny. Blue Kimble will play the role of Memphis, while Adrian Lockett tackles the role of Malik.
The film is directed by Arthur Muhammad and co-written by published authors N’Tyse and Erick S. Gray. Producers listed on the project include Shauna D. Balfour Anderson, Christina Cooper and London Williams.
