Jennifer Hudson Says She’s Down To Reprise Her Role For The ‘Sex And The City’ Revival

Remember Louise from St. Louis? Well, now that it’s official that “Sex and the City” will be making its return. Many fans have been wondering if Jennifer Hudson would be down to joins the ladies.

While promoting her new animated film “Baba Yaga,” Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier asked J Hud if she would be down for the reboot. She said, “I hope so, that would be cool. I am down, I am down!”

She says she hasn’t received any calls about it just yet but added that she is definitely interested.

As previously reported, although the show is coming back, not all four main characters will be making a comeback. Along with the news about the show’s return, it was also announced that only Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte will be coming back, and Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones will not be making a return.

The show will be coming back through HBO Max and will go by the title “And Just Like That…” and will follow the ladies as they navigate through friendships and love in their 50’s. There will be a total of 10 half-hour episodes, and production for the show will start later this year.

Jennifer Hudson’s made her debut as Louise in the first “Sex and the City” film, which released back in 2008. Her character was the assistant to Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw. Jennifer’s character Louise coined herself as the girl who moved to the big city of New York to find love.
