Jesse Stone, a 15-year-old Florida teen, has been sentenced after allegedly sexually assaulting a 91-year-old woman in June 2024.
According to Fox 35 Orlando, Stone was sentenced to 25 years in prison for allegedly beating and raping the woman on Friday, February 7. Additionally, Stone received 30 years of sex offender probation. During this time, he must register as a sex offender and enroll in classes for anger management.
“His actions are egregious, and the victim in this case is lucky to be alive. I am going to sentence him to prison followed by a lengthy term of sex offender probation. Mr. Stone, this is unfortunate for you, the victim, and for both of your families, circuit judge Lisa Herndon reportedly told the teen and his lawyers at sentencing.
Per the outlet, Stone who was 14 years old at the time of the alleged incident has 30 days to appeal his sentence.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Stone was accused of entering the woman’s home on June 9, 2024. In turn, the woman was awoken by the teen who admitted to punching and groping her.
“… Through the collection of DNA evidence… investigators were able to positively identify the suspect. During an interview with Detective Caitlin Hartigan, Jesse Stone admitted to unlawfully entering the victims home, striking the victim, and then sexually battering her,” a Facebook post by the Marion County Police Department asserted at the time.
As previously reported, Stone was charged with sexual battery and burglary. Additionally, he pled guilty to his charges on November 7, 2024.
The incident with the teen isn’t the only one to make reports in Florida. As The Shade Room previously reported, a landlord named Adam Louis Anson was recently hit with a few charges.
Anson reportedly shot and killed his tenant on January 25. Per authorities, the man forced himself into his tenant’s home. Ultimately, Anson allegedly shot the man in a backyard, allegedly over a thermostat dispute.
