Jhen Aiko is clearing the air on the diamond ring recently seen on her finger! A TikToker had social media buzzing with engagement rumors after sharing a video of her and Big Sean out and about. However, the ‘Stay Ready’ singer wasted no time addressing the speculations after X (formerly Twitter) started circulating the video.
In the clip, Aiko does a cute lil’ pose for the paparazzi and holds her hand to her mouth, flashing the sparkling ring. Sean stood near her, smiling. She got in the car first, and he signed an autograph before closing the door and signing more autographs and snapping photos.
@TheFineFeminine shared the video on X on Nov. 15 and has since racked up over 3.4 million views, more than 77,000 likes, and 500+ comments. “Jhene got a ring on her finger. Bullying works,” the caption said.
About three hours after @TheFineFeminine shared the video, Jhen Aiko slid in the comment section with her clarification.
“This ring is from my stylist. It only fit on that finger, the more you know,” Aiko wrote from her X account.
User @Kirkkendyll replied to Aiko, asking, “So it’s not a wedding ring? Just want to make sure I understand.”Jhen Aiko doubled down on shutting down engagement speculations. She wrote back, “Correct. I did get myself something beautiful for my right hand tho.”
This is the second time in recent months that Jhen Aiko has clarified her status with Big Sean regarding marriage. In July, Big Sean joined her on stage during her sold-out Los Angeles show. He performed the song ‘Beware,’ and when the lyrics about giving a ring came up, Aiko held up her empty ring finger to the crowd.
While it seems like she’s ready to be his Mrs., Big Sean shared doubts ahead of their L.A. performance. The rapper seemingly admitted to Charlamagne in an interview that he didn’t feel like their relationship was ready for marriage yet. “To me, marriage symbolizes like the best relationship,” Sean said. However, he clarified that marriage isn’t off the table but that more work needs to be done.
“Im not discounting anything, and Im not saying were not going to get married,” he said. “And I dont like putting our personal business out there, but I feel like theres a lot of work that needs to be done in general.”
