Joe Biden Campaign Started Selling Fly Swatters After Vice Presidential Debate & They Sold Out Within Hours!

#Roommates, as America’s favorite fly continues to be the most talked about part of the recent vice presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence, Joe Biden’s presidential campaign already found a way to throw even more shade at the viral moment. Almost immediately after the #FlyOnPence dominated social media, Biden’s campaign started selling fly swatters…and they sold out pretty quickly!

According to @CBSNews, two hours after a fly literally stole the show during the 2020 vice presidential debate, presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign jumped on the bandwagon with some petty merch. The Joe Biden campaign website started selling a $10 fly swatter with the words “Truth Over Flies” printed along the handle.

A Biden campaign spokesperson revealed that after just a few hours, all of the 35,000 fly swatters had sold out. “We saw the internet and our supporters sharing a viral moment online, so our digital team came together on the fly,” Zach McNamara, the merchandise director for the Biden campaign, said. The goal was to show that “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will always choose truth over lies, science over fiction, and unity over division,” he added.

In case you missed the moment that still has the country talking, during the debate while Mike Pence was speaking, a fly landed on his head—and remained there for a very significant amount of time.

This led to social media having a field day and creating various hashtags, memes and posts about the moment…proving once again that the Internet is undefeated.
