Joie Chavis and Trevon Diggs have officially begun their parenting journey! The former backup dancer announced the birth of their first child and daughter together with a sweet video featuring her loved ones.
As previously reported, Chavis first revealed she was expecting her third child in March. At the time, she shared a video of her slowly turning around to a side profile angle that displayed her huge baby bump.
As mentioned, Joie alerted her 2.4 million followers about her daughter’s arrival via Instagram Stories on Monday (August 26). Despite captioning her video montage, “she’s hereeeee,” it’s unclear what exact day her mini-me was born.
The child’s birth indicates her and Trevon’s third spin on the parenthood block. Chavis is also a mother to teen daughter Shai Moss, whom she co-parents with Bow Wow. Additionally, she shares a son named Hendrix with rapper Future. As for Trevon Diggs, he already has two sons named Aaiden and Chosen from prior relationships, per Page Six.
The Joie In Life founder has yet to reveal additional details about the birth or the child’s name and face. However, her Instagram Stories announcement showed at least 10 loved ones’ reactions to the newborn, including Shai and Hendrix’s, via FaceTime.
A new photo from Papa Diggs shows he was present and accounted for following the birth. It’s unclear whether he pulled up to the hospital with Joie or whether he was present from the beginning of her labor. Note that the Dallas Cowboys’ last pre-season NFL game occurred on Saturday, August 24.
Nonetheless, the NFL player acknowledged his first daughter’s arrival on his Instagram Storieson Tuesday (August 27).
He shared a photo of himself in the hospital room, holding the infant on his bare chest while looking down at her barely visible face. Their little one was wrapped in a classic hospital blanket and wearing a blue-and-pink hat.
Joie formally sparked concerns about the status of her relationship with Diggs in mid-July. At the time, she responded, “No, we aren’t,” to a social media user who asked if they were “together still.”
However, by the end of that same month, Trevon and Joie Chavis popped out at their baby shower together. One video shows her giving the NFL player a kiss on the lips after unboxing an AP (Audemars Piguet) watch gift.
A week ago, she shared stunning maternity shoot photos featuring her baby bump and two eldest kids. However, none of the pictures she shared featured the father of her third mini-me.
For anyone with slick comments about the fathers of her kids, though, know that Joie Chavis already clocked that tea back in March.
