Karrueche Demands That People Stop Discriminating Against Asians & Says The Coronavirus Should Not Be Called ‘The Chinese Virus’

Wednesday night Karrueche used her platform to speak out against the misconceptions surrounding the coronavirus. As many people are following orders and practicing social distancing, there have been disappointing remarks made about the Asian community, even from the person who is considered to be the “president.”

Karrueche took to her Instagram and said, “Xenophobia isn’t okay!! To target and discriminate, Asians is wrong!! There are Asians afraid to leave their homes. There are people who have already been hurt (I know ya’ll seen the video of the older Asian man). The coronavirus is not ‘The Chinese Virus!’ Let’s stop instilling more fear and hate. The world is struggling enough as it is. Please stop this!!”

If you’re wondering who Karrueche is talking about when it comes to labeling the virus as “The Chinese Virus,” as we previously reported, Donald Trump explained at a press conference why he refers to the virus by that name.

He had referred to the virus by that name several times on social media. Wednesday morning, he was asked why he calls the pandemic by that name, and he said, “Because it comes from China, I want to be accurate.”

Roommates, what are your thoughts on Kae’s statements?
