Roommates, get into this unexpected ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ link-up! Katie Rost, from season one, was spotted in a cozy pose with the ex-husband of another former ‘RHOP’ alum, Monique Samuels. In the circulating image, Katie and Chris Samuels appear cozy and familiar. Naturally, the internet streets have been buzzing with questions!
On Thursday (August 29), Katie Rost shared the photo with Chris on her Instagram account. He was dressed in a dark grey shirt, and she wore a leather jacket with a patterned headband. He’s seen throwing up the peace sign with his arm draped around Rost’s shoulder. Meanwhile, she was nestled underneath his right arm with her hand on his chest as they both smiled.
Katie really drummed up the side-eyes in her caption, though, seemingly suggesting she took a shot at Chris.
“I flirt hard and when I see a good one; I go for it #og #rhop #potomac when mr. s steps into the building Katie says . Oh yes.”
She continued her caption by calling Chris Samuels an “incredible human,” but again, it’s unclear how familiar the ‘RHOP’ alums are. Rost starred in the reality TV franchise for the first season, and though she popped in and out after as a guest, it was infrequent. Monique Samuels and Chris didn’t join the cast until season two and stayed through season five.
“Thanks for welcoming me back to Potomac,” she added.
The short answer is yes! As previously reported, Monique filed to divorce Chris in April 2023 after a period of separation. Months later, a Montgomery County Family Court confirmed their divorce was finalized on September 25. However, the paperwork was sealed, and their day-to-day relationship remains unclear. Note that theformer married couple are parents to Milani, Christopher, and Chase.
Monique Samuels has not reacted to Katie being close and comfortable with her ex-husband.
Furthermore, there are no additional details about HOW Chris allegedly welcomed Katie back to Potomac, Maryland, or even where she was coming from! Meanwhile, Chris is keeping any feedback he might have to himself. Thelast post on his Instagram feed is dated July 28 and features his and Monique’s kids.
