Kendrick Lamar kicked off his highly anticipated tour in Minnesota on Saturday, April 19, and fans were quick to point out the SHADE he threw at Drake during the show. The Compton-bred rapper set things off by seemingly referencing one of Drake’s disses aimed at him.
During his Grand National Tour stop at the U.S. Bank Stadium, Kendrick Lamar left concert-goers SHOOK when he trolled Drizzys drop drop adlib from his song, Family Matters. In the video footage posted on X (formerly Twitter), Lamar appears to be seated for a fake deposition. An off-screen attorney can be heard mentioning, Sunday, Feb. 9, the same date Lamar performed at the Super Bowl halftime show.
The Compton native laughingly responded, I dont keep up with dates. Thats when the attorney asked whether this rang any bells before mimicking Drakes adlib, Drop. Drop. Drop. Drop The screen fades to black as the famous opening line to Lamars Not Like Us plays throughout the stadium.
The Roomies were quick to sound off on Kendrick Lamar’s lil’ jab towards Drake in The Shade Room’s comment section. Peep some of their reactions below.

Meanwhile, Drizzy is NOT letting up in his legal war with Universal Music Group (UMG) over K.Dot’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss track. Now, hes dragging the Grammys and Super Bowl into it, too. The Canadian rapper filed an amended lawsuit against UMG on Wednesday, April 16, in New York federal court, claiming the company had somewhat proven his point regarding the defamation accusations made against him in the song.
The updated complaint, per CNN, states Kendrick Lamar removed the pedophile jab from his Super Bowl halftime show performance. Meanwhile, the Grammys had to redact the word as the track played in the background when Lamar won his award for Record Of The Year. Drake’s legal team argues that there wouldn’t have been a reason to edit out the word if the lyrics weren’t defamatory.
