Kimora Lee Simmons is speaking out about her daughter Aoki Lee Simmons’ past relationship with restaurateur Vittorio Assaf. Roommates, if you remember, Aoki and Vittorio went viral back in April 2024 for their age gap and lip-locking beach pics. Now, Kimora is sharing how she felt when she found out Aoki was dating the 65-year-old at the time.
Recently, Kimora Lee Simmons hopped on Amanda Hirsch’s ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast for an exclusive chat. The fashion designer kept it all the way real while talking about Aoki’s 2024 relationship with Vittorio Assaf. First, she made it clear that she knew Vittorio growing up but had no clue he was dating Aoki.
“But I didn’t know this guy in that capacity, that you were with my kid or even dating my kid […] I know this guy growing up myself.”
On top of that, she said she barely had time to react because everything happened super fast.“But it did go from zero to a hundred real quick and I was like […] Aoki I didn’t even know this was a thing.” She added,“I found out when the world found out.”When it came to their 42-year age at the time, Kimora didn’t hold back saying,“I think that’s predatorial and kind of crazy.”
Rumors about Aoki Lee and Vittorio Assaf started swirling back in April 2024. A source told PEOPLE the pair were officially dating at the time. Aoki seemed to react to the news by posting a selfie on her Instagram Story with the caption,Errr well now I know why folks were calling me.”Then the duo really took over the internet when photos showed them packing on some major beachside PDA during a baecation in St. Barts.
Despite the internet’s reactions and Kimora briefly weighing in, Aoki and Vittorio’s relationship was short lived. Days after their tropical getaway took over timelines, a Page Six source said the two had split. The source claimed their relationship was “100% done” and added, “they’re absolutely not dating.”They also reportedly spoke with Aoki at the time, and she said,Of course, Im not with him. I was never with him.
