Kodak Black Shades Megan Thee Stallion—Claims He Came Up With “Drive The Boat” Phrase

Despite being currently incarcerated until at least 2022, Kodak Black is still finding time to explore social media and offer his opinions on specific topics. He apparently caught wind of Megan Thee Stallion’s latest interview where she stated that she created the popular catchphrase “drive the boat”—but Kodak disputes those claims and says he came up with it.

During her breakout year in 2019, Megan Thee Stallion quickly popularized the term “drive the boat” to describe pouring cognac directly into someone’s mouth straight from the bottle. When Meg made a recent appearance on the daytime talk show “Strahan, Sara, and Keke” she took credit for creating the phrase during a game with the show’s hosts.

That’s when Kodak officially entered the chat and let it be known that he did not appreciate her taking credit for something he originated. He took directly to Instagram to vent his irritation.

He wrote:

“I Really Wanna Go Bad On Lil One but I’m Keepin This S**t Pretty #LetMeDriveTheBoat #FreeTheGoat”

In case you need a refresher, Kodak Black coined “drive the boat” back in February 2019 in a post on his Instagram story where he was on an actual boat, wearing a life vest when he uttered, “Let me drive the boat.” The clip quickly went viral and Kodak’s fans were ready to let Megan know to give credit to who started it.

As of right now, Megan hasn’t respond to Kodak’s criticisms.
