Kraft Is Adding Pumpkin Spice To Their Mac N’ Cheese

When it comes to top side dishes for holiday dinners, Mac N’ Cheese is often top five. The various ways Mac N’ Cheese tastes differs exponentially depending on who’s preparing it. Where common ingredients like cheese and milk are universal in good ole mac, some of us like to experiment with additional ingredients like lobster or bacon bits.

As for Kraft Mac N’ Cheese, pumpkin spice is their special seasoning used for their new limited edition Mac N’Cheese. Now I am all for trying something new in the kitchen, but mixing pumpkin spice and cheese seems a bit odd. While it may be peculiar to some of us,  Kraft’s promotional run in Canada is the reason for the promotional launch in the U.S.

“The fall-themed monstrosity was created as part of a promotion in Canada — where Kraft mac and cheese is such a staple that Kraft Dinner is simply known as “KD” — in which 1,000 people will be chosen to try it for free. Late last week, the brand decided to bring the promotion stateside as well, announcingthat U.S. residents can tweet by September 29 for the chance to win the limited-edition product,” according to Eater.

Luckily, you won’t have to pay for this experiment if you win the Kraft’s Sweepstakes that Kraft Macaroni and Cheese posted on their Twitter. In an interview with Delish, Brand Manager Martina Davis for Kraft Macaroni and Cheese said, “After seeing the huge response Pumpkin Spice Mac & Cheese received north of the border, and even hearing some heated debates about it down here, we had to bring it to the U.S. for Americans to try,“ adding, “Who knows? Maybe it could become a new North American fall favorite.”

Only time will tell if Kraft’s Pumpkin Spice Mac N Cheese will be the next big thing.
