Roommates, in an interview with ABC news, Lamar Odom gets real about the struggles he endured while being married to Khloe Kardashian.
In his new book, #DarknessToLight, Lamar talks about everything from his drug abuse, to his sex addiction and even a time he threatened to kill Khloe.
Lamar had been under the influence of ecstasy and cocaine, and began to hallucinate. Khloe became concerned for his well being, and called some of his friends over to help him. Lamar did not take kindly to that, and began to verbally abuse Khloe.
“What the f*ck are you doing?”, he yelled. “You tyrying to embarrass men front of my friends? “I’ll f*cking kill you! You don’t know what I’m capable of”.
Although it was a very hurtful and frightening situation at the time, Lamar seemed comfortable with talking about it on Good Morning America, and admitting that he was indeed wrong.
“I’m pretty sure she had to be scared at that point in time,” Lamar said. “I’m thinking about it now, like, I couldn’t believe how I was treating that queen like that.”
He also recalls feeling humiliated after coming down from his high and realizing what he had put his friends and his wife through at the time.
“”I was embarrassed and ashamed,” he recalls. “It was a new low for our relationship ad my life–the most regrettable moment in a series of regrettable moments.”
Although Lamar recounts the bad times and the many points of struggle he had with the Kardashian claims, that’s not the only message he wants his memoir to convey. Lamar hopes it will serve to inspire others to persevere in hard times.
“My memoir is not just a story about the Kardashian, or drugs,” he said. “It’s really a story of triumph, and overcoming obstacles.”
