C’mon Black Love! LeToya Luckett Ties The Knot With Taleo In Stunning Wedding Ceremony (PHOTOS)

Congrats are in order for LeToya Luckett and Taleo Coles, who recently married in a lavish ceremony!

Mrs. Coles wore a thin-strap white lace gown with a high-leg slit and low-V neck cut. She accessorized the sultry look with diamonds on her neck and ears. Photos shared exclusively by Essence show that the singer had 12 bridesmaids dressed in light brown gowns of various designs.

Meanwhile, Mr. Coles popped out in a black tuxedo with an adornment on his suit jacket. He completed the look with a black bowtie and a fresh lineup. One of his wrists was iced out with diamond bracelets.

The event space was decked out with hundreds of white flowers, including her bridal bouquet. LeToya says their wedding was a collaborative effort, crediting her man with finding the venue, Teesrae in Houston. They said their “I dos” in front of 200 guests, including Ms. Tina Knowles, Toya Wright-Rushing, Tammy Franklin, LaTavia Roberson, Bun B., and Pastor Devon Franklin, Meagan Good’s ex-husband, who officiated the ceremony.

During their wedding vows, she notably said their love “feels like rest.”

More Details On The Couple’s Relationship

According to Essence, LeToya and Taleo have shared a mutual friend for 20 years but never explored their connection beyond that. In September 2022, after some prayers to God about finding a “whole” heart, she learned Taleo was single. They connected via phone, and eventually, Taleo put her at ease about introducing someone new to her kids, citing his own experience with having a stepdad.

“My stepfather played a pivotal role in my life, providing the guidance and support I needed,” Taleo said.

For context, the R&B singer was previously engaged to Texas businessman Tommicus Walker in 2017. They later married and spent nearly four years together beforedivorcing in 2021. During their union, they welcomed two children.

As time passed, Coles doubled down on his commitment to LeToya Luckett by packing up his life in Raleigh, North Carolina, and moving to Houston, Texas, to be with the singer. Her kids, Gianna and Tysun, took a liking to him and now call the couple “true love,” she says.

LeToya Luckett & Taleo’s Family Reacts To The Wedding

The couple’s family and friends spoke lovingly about the event to Essence. LeToya’s mother, Pamela Luckett, also spoke to the outlet hours before her daughter married.

“It feels like Ive passed the baton,” Pamela said. “Its as if they have taken control of Thanksgiving dinner. Theyve planned everything so beautifully. I can sit back and relax because I know shes in good hands.”

Taleo’s sister, LaToya Coles, expressed her happiness at seeing her sibling walk down the aisle.

“Hes always been so kind and giving. Hes the person we call when we need something,” LaToya said. “When he wasnt home for the holidays, thats when I knew it was serious. I was sad to see him leave, but Im so very happy for him at the same time.”
