ESPNs talk show Highly Questionable brought out special guests Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz to promote their newest album Collegrove and ask the two rappers of their craziest nights theyve had with athletes and what goes down during their studio sessions!
Le Bartad started the interview off strong by asking the two what happened one night when they partied too hard with an athlete knowing the person had a game the next day. 2 Chainz immediately started spilling tea about former NFL quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who apparently had a bag full of trinite, and according to Sporting News, 2 Chainz was referring to lean, a powerful depressant mixed with codeine and Sprite (usually).
2 Chainz then goes on to drop another athlete who knows how to get down and be seen, former NBA player, Duane Wagner. D-Wag was the truth, said 2 Chainz.
Now it gets a little bit more interesting. Le Bartad asks a more simpler question than before, because he felt 2 Chainz was dropping the bomb on a lot of athletes and took his question into a different direction than expected. So Wayne jumped in and explained an interesting story that involved Cleveland Cavaliers NBA star, J.R. Smith and two females during one night in Las Vegas: I was visiting a female and we was in VegasI didnt know she was with him originally, but she told him that someone in the casino hit the jackpot. So she had to leave that hotel and go to another hotel, that is what she told him. Now she told me to come overshe was there with a female friend, he was aware of that. So she told him that the female friend was still there at that hotel but she had to relocate to another one. SoI was there in the room that nightall of sudden we hear the bedroom door openall of sudden who comes through the doorJ.R. with his wife-beater on!
Just to break it down a little bit more, the female friend Wayne and J.R evidently were both trying to smash had no clue the two were friends, as Wayne mentions in the interview that J.R. has Y.M (Young Money) tattooed on his neck. Yea thats my brother for real, said Wayne. So when J.R. came in the room they were all buddy buddy and immediately left afterwards leaving the female after she played both of them. Ironically, the females friend ended up spending the night with Lil Wayne after that whole mess!
ESPNs next question about the two rappers refers to what goes down during studio time, and as 2 Chainz gathers his thoughts on one of the craziest moments that happened, its obviously more than one crazy night because he kept it very vague about what goes down. The only thing Wayne had to say was Yes, Ive had some crazy nights. 2 Chainz then starts describing Waynes studio interior, as he has a skateboarding ramp in his studio, so its hard for him to figure out if Wayne will either be skating in the studio or working on music. 2 Chainz then refers to rap studio sessions as what you may see go down in movies: Its kind of privateIts like we dont make them sign no paperwork because were not trying to display that were real players, were not taking phones. Lets just say they can actually buy that car that Uber is in but theyd just rather get in the Uber and ride out! We make sure everyone is happy. Its a lot of Kush going back to back. Its a vibe in there!
Well then, at least we know everywhere 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne go there is nothing nothing less than an adventurous time!
