Wedding plans may be on the horizon for Lil Wayne, and the rapper already has a legendary voice in mind for hisbig day. Speculation continues to build around his upcoming nuptials to fiance Madison Madi Cannon. Now, Wayne has revealed the artist he wants to take the stage when he says I do.
During the Wednesday, October 7, episode of ‘The Joint Venture Show,’ host Craig Carton posed a series of listener-submitted questions to the rapper, including who he would choose to perform at his wedding. Wayne, 44, did not hesitate to name his first pick, revealing that R&B legend Anita Baker would be at the top of his list. My first choice, of course, would be Miss Anita Baker, he shared.
The rapper also acknowledged that he wouldnt want to put any pressure on the 68-year-old singer to perform. If Baker couldnt make it, Wayne said he would turn to R&B favorites Keith Sweat or Babyface instead. When Carton suggested Bakers timeless hit ‘Sweet Love’ for the occasion, Wayne left the final song selection up to his bride-to-be.
Folks wasted no time running to The Shade Rooms Instagram comment section, and the reactions were coming in hot. Some brought up Reginae Carter and speculated about how she might feel. While others questioned whether Lil Waynes fiance, Madison Cannon, even knows who Anita Baker is.

Waynes excitement about the upcoming nuptials also came through when he congratulated fellow rapper B.G. on his engagement to Brooke Jones.In a video message to B.G., Wayne joked about being the best man and asked what color suit he should wear. He then panned the camera over to his own fiance, Madison Madi Cannon, introducing her as the woman he plans to marry. Madi waved at the camera and joined in on the congratulatory moment. This is my fiance, Wayne said of Madi. Now let us know what color we wearing, Im the best man, you heard me. Love you
