Lil Wayne’s Former Manager Is Reportedly Suing Him For At Least $20 Million

Roommates, it looks like Lil Wayne’s former manager is trying to get his coins from Wayne, according to TMZ. Lil Wayne’s ex-manager Ronald Sweeney is claiming that Wayne hired him back in 2005 to help him renegotiate his deal with Cash Money Records.

If you remember, Lil Wayne and Birdman had an ongoing feud over payouts between Young Money and Cash Money a few years ago. Things seemed like they were going to take an ugly turn between them, but thankfully it looks like Birdman and Weezy squashed their differences and figured something out. Here’s where things get tricky. In the court documents, Ronald alleges Weezy asked him to fire his longtime manager Cortez Bryant. IN exchange, Ronald wanted a pay increase. Though Ronald was successful in firing Cortez, Ronald claims that Cortez and Mack Maine conspired to drive a wedge between him and Weezy that eventually got HIM fired.

Wayne recently sold his masters to Universal Music Group, in a deal reportedly for ore than $100M. Though Ronald seems to not be asking for money from that deal, he apparently brought it up to show that Weezy has the funds to run him his coins!

Wayne has been caught up in a few ongoing legal cases, most recently he was stopped in Miami where federal agents allege they found drugs and a hand gun aboard his jet. Though Wayne maintains his innocence, if found guilty he could possibly face up to 10 years in prison. We’ll definitely make sure to keep you on on this tea Roommates! Until then, we are hoping Weezy can resolve these legal cases. I think we can all agree we would hate to see him behind bars!
