Drake Calls AI-Created ‘Munch’ Vocals ‘The Final Straw’ As Universal Music Group Slams The Technology

As artificial intelligence (AI) programs become more accessible and well-known, this technological phenomenon has faced opposition within the music industry.

Specifically, the Financial Times reports that Universal Music Group (UMG) is calling on streaming services to straight-up block AI companies from using copyrighted materials to “train” themselves, as this information is used to create new, unauthorized versions of mainstream bops.

And it looks like Drake isn’t a huge fan of the technology, either! He spoke out on his social media about the voice rip-off after The Shade Room reported Universal’s call to action.
