Loni Love Speaks Out Amid Reports That ‘The Real’ Will Be Canceled: “We Will Finish Season 8 And Wait For Official Word”

As the switch-up in daytime television continues to take place, recent reports have claimed that the talk show “The Real,” is the next show on the chopping block. Now Loni Love has spoken out about the situation.

On Sunday, Loni took to Twitter and said, “It’s been a busy few days but I got a call from the studio.. no official decision has been made about #TheReal …I will be ok but please give grace to the 150 crew members this may affect… we will finish Season 8 and wait for official word.”

Loni then proceeded to share the list of guests that are scheduled to appear on “The Real,” this upcoming week.

Over the years, the show has seen a switch-up in its panel of hosts. Throughout all seasons, Loni, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai have remained hosts. After Tamar Braxton, who was one of the original co-hosts on the show, was terminated, the ladies were joined by Amanda Seales. After Amanda’s departure, Tamera Mowry, who was also an original host, left the show. In 2020, actress Garcelle Beauvais joined the show as a co-host.

News about the show possibly being canceled came on the heels of the news that Nick Cannon’s talks show has been canceled after six months.

As previously reported, Nick addressed the cancellation and said, “It’s interesting. This is show business, and the biggest word is ‘business.’ I show up every day, bright and early, to give you a show, and I am also a businessman.”

He also addressed his audience and said, “This has been a dream come true. I want to expand and elevate. We ain’t going nowhere but it’s about broadening my audience.”

We’ll keep ya’ll updated as more news about “The Real,” becomes available.
