Martell Holtspent about three hours behind bars on Tuesday (Jan. 9), according to jail records and Deadline.
Huntsville Police Department officials booked the ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ star for third-degree domestic violence and harassment communications. Jail records show he was booked at 4:02 p.m. local time by HPD.
At this time, there’s no additional information about what led to the arrest or who else is involved.
However, if found guilty of third-degree DV, Holt could face a maximum punishment of one year in jail or a fine of $6,000. Meanwhile, a harassing communications charge could result in 90 days in jail and a fine of up to $500.

As for his background, Martell Holt has appeared in the past six seasons of the OWN network series. Holt is divorced from co-star Melody Holt and was most recently dating Sherre Whitfield. She first confirmed they were “hanging out” and were “friends” in July 2022. At the time, their lil’ romance was about two months strong.
Sherre and Martell even shared some screen time on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ causing mixed reactions among fans and cast members.
In January 2023, Sherre brought in her 53rd birthday with Martell Holt at her side.However, months later, it seemed as if things between them had fizzled out. In June 2023, Sherre revealed they were “absolutely” still friends but didn’t clarify if that included any benefits!
Another woman in Martell’s life known to the public is his ex-wife, Melody. She and Martell share four children, Maliah, Mariah, Martell, and Malani.
The former spouses haven’t always had the best relationship, including accusations of child neglect. In August 2022, Holt took to Instagram to blast Melody. He claimed she had utilized 24 babysitters in the past and once left the children alone in a car while she got her makeup done. At the time, he demanded full custody of their children.
