Brooklyn-bred rapper Maino is shedding more light on a recent video clip that has now gone viral of him and a YouTub creator named Buba100x.

Buba100x Attempted A Prank On The Rapper

The rapper attended Daniel’s Leather fashion show earlier this month, as reported by TMZ. And while there, the 49-year-old rapper was interviewed by Buba100x.

In the video clip, the YouTuber repeatedly asks the rapper if he can borrow his chain.

“You wanna borrow my chain? Maino asks the YouTuber.

Yeah, let me borrow it let me put on your chain so I can see how it feel. I wanna see how it feel like, you know what I’m saying, to have on a chain…

In the vide, Maino responds by telling the YouTuber that he gave him “his time.” But now, he’s “just chatting.” The video then cuts to another moment of the interview.

Quick question, on a scale of 1-10, how badly, right, do you I could like beat your ass?

Maino then turns to the YouTuber, appearing to grasp him in a chokehold.

An Instagram user shared additional footage of Maino and Buba100x.

Maino Sheds Light: Says Incident With YouTuber Was Staged

The 49-year-old appeared as a co-host on Way Up With Angela Yee this morning and addressed the now-viral clip.

So what you see is all a part of the prank…

Angela Yee, the host of the radio, went on to share what she saw in the video for listeners. And Maino maintained the encounter, which appeared to be serious, was actually “fake.”

I wanted to make it look real… Yes, I just wanted to make it look real. It was all for the fans… Just a prank. it was staged.

Angela Yee, however, was not convinced by the rapper’s explanation.

I think it was a prank but it was not involving Maino in advance.

But Maino ended the segment maintaining his stance.

The YouTuber,Buba100x, has yet to publicly address the viral incident.
