The man accused of fatally stabbing Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter appeared in a Manhattan Court room Tuesday morning.
According to prosecutors, multiple witnesses said they saw Lamar Davenport on top of E’dena Hines in the middle of the street that morning while the knife was still in her chest. When police arrived to the scene, they also reported the knife was still lodged in her chest.
George Hudacko, 65, who saw the violent attack and called 911, said Davenport was stabbing Hines and screaming: “Get out, devils. In the name of Jesus Christ, I Cast you out.”
E’Dena was pronounced dead at the scene, and initial reports say she had 15 stab wounds but it was later on revealed that she had been stabbed 25 times.
He has plead not guilty. E’Dena Hines was fatally stabbed on August 16 in an apparent cocaine-fueled exorcism gone fatally wrong.
May she rest in peace.
