Last week, a man named Robbie Tripp posted a picture of himself and his wife Sarah at the beach, and in the sweetest caption he described all of the little reasons why he loves her “curvy” body.
“For me, there is nothing sexier than this woman right here: thick thighs, big booty, cute little side roll, etc. Her shape and size won’t be the one featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan but it’s the one featured in my life and in my heart,” he wrote.
Later in the post, he mentioned how he began educating himself on feminism and the many ways that “the media marginalized women.” In response, a few internet feminists came for Robbie, claiming he had no right to speak about his wife’s body and that it even made them uncomfortable!
Instead of clapping back at his haters, Robbie decided to twirl in them by sharing with his new followers all of the positive recognition his post received. “It’s been incredible to see the reaction from my simple post celebrating my wife and her body,” he said. “So much positivity and love have come from it. Seeing men from around the world tagging their girlfriend/wife and telling her how much they love her curvy body has been amazing.”
We don’t know how anyone could have received this negatively! Go, Robbie and Sarah!
