Martin Shkreli has been gracing headlines since last year when he spiked the price of an HIV/AIDS medication and attempted to bail Bobby Shmurda out of jail. As fate would have it, he was also the lucky winner of Wu-Tang’s top-secret Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album! Needless to say, Ghostface is so not down with any of this shmelly, Shkreli’s mess! He called him a “sh*thead” which gave Shkreli reason to try and hit Ghostface where it hurts!
He had hired some goons and recorded a video taunting the veteran rapper with words like, “If you ever say some dumb shit, I’m gonna erase all your shit from this album. I’m gonna erase you from the record books of rap. You’re my son. You have to listen to me. I butter your bread. Without me, you’re nothing.” Shkreli has been branded a pretty bold guy, and from the looks of his interview with Breakfast Club, Shkreli is ’bout that life! He boasts of being from Brooklyn and told them “If he was here right now, I’d f–kin’ smack him in the face. I’m from the streets!”
This guy spoke about his respect for Wu-Tang even though he chose to make the clap-back video. “There’s a difference between real-life and personas. He disrespected me. The guy was taking shots at me. In the hip hop game, it’s not easy to be on the receiving end of those things without jumping back. It’s a man thing.” I guess, as a woman, that’s something that I won’t really understand.
What I do understand is why Shkreli wanted to bail Bobby Shmurda out of jail. After being arrested himself, for alleged securities fraud, Shkreli said, “I literally spent 3 hours in prison.” He describes the experience as “white carpet treatment” but was confused when he learned of Bobby’s case. “[Bobby Shmurda] has been in jail a year,” which he emphasizes is supposed to be “temporary spot” while your lawyers are fighting for your freedom. That’s what bail is for.
Next, Shkreli cited the 8th Amendment which prohibits the government from imposing excessive bail as well as cruel and unusual punishment. Despite the law, Bobby has been denied bail 7 times and hasn’t even been convicted of a crime! Martin calls the situation “unconstitutional” and “disgusting.” It’s too late for him to bail him out now that he’s got his own legal battles.
Martin didn’t just talk about Wu-tang clan. he gave his opinion on Donald Trump, his securities fraud and why the prices went up on his AIDS medication. You can see it for yourself, below!
