Mary J. Blige is returning to Lifetime! The award-winning singer has partnered with the network to turn another one of her classic songs into a film.

Details About Mary J. Blige’s Latest Lifetime Movie

The singer and actor will executive produce multiple new projects for the network, starting with ‘Family Affair.’

The movie inspired by Mary J. Blige’s 2001 song of the same name, will debut in 2025 as part of the network’s Voices of Lifetime slate, per Variety.

Previously, the singer and Lifetime collaborated on ‘Real Love’ and ‘Strength of a Woman,’ both inspired by her songs of the same names.

Variety reports that actors Ajiona Alexus and Da’Vinchi will headline Mary J. Blige’s, ‘Family Affair.’ Both Alexus and Da’Vinchi previously appeared in Mary J. Blige’s, ‘Real Love’ and ‘Strength of a Woman.’

Mary J. Blige’s, ‘Family Affair’ marks another collaboration for Ajiona Alexus and Da’Vinchi, who also star in the Star’z ‘BMF’ series.

Blavity reveals Jordan and John Davis of Davis Entertainment will return to executive produce the film. Bruce Miller and Milana Edwards-Brooks will serve as co-producers.

More Details On The Singer’s Lifetime Takeover

In addition to ‘Real Love’ and ‘Strength of a Woman,’ the singer has executive produced the 2020 film ‘The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel’ and portrayed Betty Shabazz in the 2013 film ‘Betty and Coretta’ at LIfetime.

Blavity states that both ‘Real Love’ and ‘Strength of A Woman’ attracted over 6.4 million viewers and ranked as the top entertainment telecast on cable for two consecutive Saturdays.
